Hilman rollers were used in the reconstruction of a major highway interchange in Birmingham Alabama, locally known as Malfunction Junction. We worked with the contractor Johnson Brothers to develop strategies to install segmental bridge sections with minimal downtime and interruption to both the highway network as well as the rail lines the bridges were built over. This bridge was a major undertaking and was designed to alleviate the horrendous traffic nightmare the original interchange caused.
